What’s included:
✅ Installation of a Matrix Infinity-based modchip (Modbo 5) for any PS2 phat or slim model
✅ Soldering of ~20 wires to precise motherboard points
✅ Full compatibility for:

• Playing PS1 and PS2 games (original or backup)

• Booting games from a hard drive or flash drive (note: USB speeds may affect some games)

• Bypassing region locks — just insert the disc and play

While software solutions like FreeMcBoot allow HDD booting, they do not enable disc-based imports or backups. A modchip unlocks the full potential of your PlayStation 2.

Important note for V9–V12 consoles (50k / some 70k series):
We recommend adding a Matrix PicFix chip to protect the laser from damage caused by scratched or burnt discs. Check our separate Matrix PicFix installation service if you want to bundle this upgrade.
